  Counting tracts as placements on reports now?!

  ahhhhhh......man....... .

  so now we have to count all tracts / leaflets / meeting invitations etc as placements on the monthly report slip???.

  It reminds me of the old Sat. night routine of the exorcist. At the end he reads 666 on the forehead of the kid and looks at it backwards and says "we are all right it 999 not 666. It's not 1914 it's 4191. So don't worry. Still Totally ADD

  It's obvious none of you saw the orginal Comos with Carl Sagan on PBS. Now that was boring but very informative. And yet all I can remember from that show was the universe has billions and billions of stars. My first baby steps that help me question the cult. Any way I like the new show. True it is boring in some parts but I love his make believe space ship. And just like the old show it is very informative. Still Totally ADD

  Made Lemonade I know I am not to blame. I blame squarely on the head of the Wt. for this. The PO has longed died. This happen in 1962. My mind could not handle what happen to me at such a young age. It was not until I went and got help for my depression at the age of 53 did it finally came out of me. All my life I would be haunted by a memory of a man naked standing over me. With help I was finally able to put all the pieces together. By then he was dead. Back then I don't even know if the police would have done anything at all in that little small town I came from. At any rate I survived and am proud of it. I wish I would have had someone like you around when I was kid. Maybe this guy would have been put away. Thanks for your concern. Still Totally ADD

  JWs in Florida and California. Is there really a difference?

  i have heard over the years from many different people about how jws in those states are unlike elsewhere.

  the parties they have, the way they dress and the permissive attitude.

  i just heard from a sister that is from florida, that if you are not "spiritually strong" you will "fall out of the truth" down there.

  Living in FL for 40 plus years I never saw any of the things you all are talking about. All I saw was old people filling the halls. Most of them came in after they worked all their life and was retired telling us younger ones not to send so much time working or buying a house or a new car because the big A was around the corner. After all if you don't have the money to pay cash why are you even thinking about buying it. And to have a child!!! Forget that one. All the old women coming to your wife telling her Woe to the pregnant women in the last days. I did not see partys or any kind of fun. Just a bunch of old miserable people wishing they was young again. Still Totally ADD

  jgnat I think alot of poeple don't know where anything is. I use to love geography in school. But everytime I got excited about something I was learning my father would always tell me I will not need to know that in the new system. I do remember just before the first men landed on the moon my dad keep saying Jehovah will not allow it to happen. Because he only gave the earth as a home for man not the moon. Of course man did land on the moon and I was just so happy it happen. I loved the space program when I was a kid. But again my father would get angry with me and tell me god did not like what man was doing and I should not like it also. Instead I should be preparing myself for jail, bethel or poineering. After all we was god's people and this is what god wants us to do. It's no wonder I suffer with PTSD. It was because of great fear that keep me in.

  Giordano demons was big in my life also. I was scared to death a demon was going to beat me up.

  Apojnophos thank you for listening to my rant. I much better now but it caused a big part of my life to be wasted.

  Apognophos thank you for the information. Like I said at the beginning everyone raised in this cult went through diffrent degrees of fear. For me it was very great and yes my parents was very adbusive towards their extreme view of what the Wt. taught. Of course the PO who live next to us who tried to kill me because I caught him sexual adbusing my friend most likely brought on more fear than I could handle. I was almost 8 years old at the time this happen. Most likely that had alot to do with it. I just thought it was interesting the effect fear can have on a person when they are young. Make Lemonade I agree there is diffrent levels of fear and what could result from it. I just feel this is just another tool the Wt. uses very successfully to control the flock.   Thank you Giordano, Make Lemonade and pbrow. All good points you have all made. I am beginning to see how fear is one of the biggest tools cults use to control there people. The Wt. has cornered the market on fear factor. Even right now there is still some things I will not do because of the fear the Wt. has instilled in me. (Anything that deals with hardcore demon stuff, movies, ouyja board anything like that) Maybe one of these days I will overcome this fear. But it is not my biggest worry in life. Learning is the number one thing now. Still Totally ADD

  The other day my wife and I listen to a talk about making the planet and it's people better. One of the things the speaker brought out was on education. She brought out studies show that fear causes a person to keep from learning. That is a big problem for children who live in big cities where they are in fear of their lives. That made me start thinking about my childhood in the JW cult and all the other children who were raised in this cult. Speaking for myself only I remember how afraid I was of everyone in school. After all they were all part of satans world and they were out to get me. In fear of the holidays because god was going to kill me if I took part in it. In fear of even education because satan controls all the wisdom of the world and we don't want to be part of that. As I look back I can see how this sponge of a brain I had was made into a rock unable to absorb anything. It was not until I finally woke up about this cult did my mind start to work again because I was not afraid to learn. I was not afraid to expand my knowledge of many things. So this is one big revelation for me and all I can do is shake my head in disgust on all the things I could have learned if I was not so afraid. Still Totally ADD
